Position:  Sales Engineering Manager

Introduction:

This position is for a Sales engineer to work with OEM and Tier suppliers within the Detroit metro area to match lubricants with customer applications. Understanding the demands of different parts, and how lubricants can enhance long term part performance, will enable this person to become a trusted advisor to target companies.


Duties/Requirements:

  1. Must be computer literate with:Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  2. Be able to travel locally to OEM’s and suppliers in the Detroit Metro Area
  3. Understand mechanical  applications (possess a mechanical aptitude)
  4. Strong communication skills and the ability to relay information between internal and external sources
  5. Maintain a positive attitude in the face of rejection
  6. Desire to learn and retain new information and be able to use it in the field
  7. Attention to detail with not only information, but how engineers and buyers communicate
  8. Ability to stay focused on the strategic goals of the company
  9. Skills to manage multiple projects at once

Expectations:


The person that is considered for this position will report directly to the National Sales Manager, also located in Detroit. They will be trained in the fundamentals of Tribology to better understand the products and services PolySi can offer. This position is a salary plus a year-end bonus payment structure. The company will pay mileage and relevant business expenses. Position offers health insurance and a retirement package.  Drug test and background check are required prior to employment.
